Who are the Elks?

Elks Lodges bring so much more to their communities than just a building, golf course or pool.
They are places where neighbors come together, families share meals, and children grow up.

Exalted Ruler Dan Keicher

First, let me thank Steve for his leadership last year and for leaving the Lodge better than when he started. Thank you to all the Officers who have promised to help me make this year even greater than last. And finally to you, the members, who placed your trust in me to lead the charge this new year, Thank You. I promise to give you my best effort. Now, the scary part, as I look around like a deer in the headlights, we the Officers have given you our promise to do the best things for the Lodge. You might not always agree with our every decision, and please let us know if you don’t. We really will try our best. I have big goals this year; an Antlers program, more Public Relations and awareness of who we are and what we do, more Community Support, a First Responder Banquet and awards to First Responders who went Above and Beyond what was expected of them, and assistance to our members from an organization that helps the elderly who cannot do the work themselves any longer with yard maintenance. But nothing will happen if we don’t get help from you. Everyone can do something. Think about it—If 50% of our Members helped on one committee this year, we would accomplish great things like never before! I am adopting this as my motto this year, because it really touched me as it was our President Nick Bettencourt’s motto last year: Always an Elk! At home, in traffic, at the grocery store, the bank, you represent The Best People on Earth! Thank you for putting your trust in me.
